Trumps victory tour before and after swearing in are smart politics and PR

I seriously doubt I will agree with anything he says but it is a good move. And there may be a few issues about who pays for it after he is sworn in. But - there is no law against it, and starting new traditions can be good. And and it is a way to both bypass and hijack media.
Unfortunately democrats are pretty much in hiding these days with a few exceptions so his vision is not being tested or rejected or countered. Obama could have used some tours to tout his accomplishments (as could ANY president for that matter) which he laid out well at the press conference the other day.
In fact its such a good idea I think Hillary should go on tour too, Hillary who won nearly 3mil votes and got more votes than any white man in US history. Yes, that Hillary.
Democrats' silence is telling

8. His appointees scare me more than Trump

Just as the Neocons surrounding Bush did more damage than Bush could have ever dreamed of, the same applies to Trump. The head of his EPA wants to dismantle the EPA. His labor secretary is no friend to labor. All financial regulations that were put in to prevent another 'Great Recession' are going to be removed.

WE ARE FUCKED. THERE IS NO WAY TO SUGARCOAT THIS.

'gloating tour' I think that would be more appropriate. He's like 'see, see, I'm the greatest asshole that ever lived'.

3. I think Trump has been on his victory tour lately for one of two reasons

Either he is doing it just because he is the sociopath that he is, and he craves all the extra attention

or

he is doing it because he's just a little bit nervous about the electoral college vote tomorrow, and he thinks the more he runs his victory laps, the less likely they'll pull a coup on him.

Either way, he is by far the biggest asshole to ever roam the streets of this country.

after his election in 08?

He ran an insurgent, populist campaign - and he won big. It was a great victory, far greater than Trump's; O won everything, by big margins.

He was getting huge crowds at his rallies. Remember those?

Then he won; and populist Obama vanished and boring professor Obama came out. He quit reaching out to the American people in a visceral way. He should have spent some time barnstorming for his policies, for Obamacare; he should have barnstormed in the run up to the 2010 election.

He should have never stopped fighting. But he did, and now look where we are.

He can handle the PR rallies and help republicans keep the House and Senate in 2018, while the sociopaths surrounding him destroy the country in his name

It's a good move for him and his continuous need to divide and bully.

It energized Democrats. That's the plus.
