Why is “F__K” a “dirty word”?

Is “F__K You” verbal rape?

Just asking....

Just like “cunt”. - ROOT of English word “Country”.

Our ancient ancestors called the Vagina/Cunt such things as: Great Mother, Holy Grail, White Goddess and Black Madonna. We have turned it into a “dirty word”.

Meaningless intensive or explitive. However, I have thought it meant 'doing it'? And 'doing it' in a manner different that 'making love' in a romantic, pure, wholesome way. I thought getting screwed or fucked, invoked being taken advantage of? That's why it has negative connotations.

The c-word is a less friendly word in my estimation because it often gets thrown around in really hostile name calling contests. I remember taking with some people at work in the late eighties about vulva slang and being surprised that our elderly nurse thought (don't kill me) 'pussy' was way more offensive than don't make me say it..(I can't) the c-word. I think it might be our environment and experiences that color our degree of offense. I try not to be overly sensitive or too easily offended.

I have a copy of the 'Vagina Monologues' that I borrowed from a friend, after we watched the taped version, in which she was a cast member. Toward the end a woman does a monologue on the cowed where she must repeat it a hundred times. It is so loving and accepting, embracing and empowering, I was almost able to say it out loud, that day. She owned 'it' proudly. There was no shame in having a 'down there'.
