Just sent to Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, and Joe Barton.
I'm writing to urge you to represent your constituents and NOT the NRA on gun violence. Vote FOR common sense measures like universal background checks and limits on magazine capacity.
I am a Federally licensed firearm dealer and like 90% of other Americans support the reasonable restrictions on firearm accessibility.
Don't be on the wrong side of this issue.

. . .
Not likely to have any impact but if enough emails and phone calls come in it may shake them up. I'll be making phone calls to Party leadership and these three reprobates next week.

(8,421 posts)I just finished contacting Baldwin, Johnson, and my Congressman Kind. I asked for ACTION. For goodness sake, I don't want this issue TALKED to death, we need ACTION.

(53,475 posts)I used to be a big Ron Kind fan when I lived in his district, but he's represented the other side a few times recently. What's the latest on him?

(8,421 posts)it's like poking him with a sharp stick. I know he doesn't give a damn about any issues I give a damn about.
Ron? Well, he has not made me too happy lately. I think he is in the corporate pockets, pretty deep. I did find on the Open Secrets site that he tookk $2000 from the NRA and I think he's pretty proud of his NRA rating.
So lately, I'm not too happy with him nor the crummy replies I get from his staff when I write (which is often.) I haven't tracked down the specifics but I know that there was a protest against him in Madison as he has been alleged to be taking funds from the Kochs. But like I said, I would need to track that down more. I did see a video of the protest. Gosh, all I ever see of Madison involves some protest (that makes me happy, actually).
