If you guys feel this is inappropriate, please let me know. It's no problem at all to delete and not post these types of things.
But I'm thinking of posting here any time there is a way to easily help others with just a click of your mouse or phone call.
This is from a new Wishlist Post (they're not DU members, however). I've included a link to the Wishlist post at the bottom in case you want to reply to them and lend moral support after voting, and in case you would be inclined to share the Wishlist post with your networks to get more votes.

My husband Barton has Cerebral Palsy, and we are both writers. We just published Ink in the Wheels: Stories to Make Love Roll, our memoir that looks at disability and relationships (or relationships in general!) To our dismay, the week after our book release, we found out my non-accessible Honda is now beyond repair. We have entered into a contest to win an accessible van through the National Mobility Awareness Campaign. You can read our story and vote here:
http://www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com/entrant/bart...
The contest works like this, you can vote once a day from an ip address with the possibility of getting an extra vote. And you can unclick the box so you don't have to receive their emailings, and we still get a vote.
The top 5% will go to an independent panel. Right now there are 600 applicants, which means the top 30 will go to an independent panel. We are so, so close- #58 right now. What we need to is expand the number of people that will vote each day. The contest goes through May 10th, so we need to find sustainable supporters & backers,
What we need is help getting people to vote for us- 50 additional people voting every day or 25 people who are able to get two votes (or more) to gain ground and hopefully take our message of inspiration on the road!
Help us reach out to the community to mobilize daily voting!
