UNC Basketball program extends offer to Class of 2026 five-star Jordan Smith Jr.
Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are starting to focus more attention on the Class of 2026.
While the Class of 2025 still has a lot of work to be done, Davis and his staff are looking ahead to the future, as they've officially jumped into the mix for one of the top shooting guards within the Class of 2026.
Jordan Smith Jr., a 6-foot-3 guard from Fairfax, Virginia, announced on social media that he has received an offer from the Tar Heels. Smith Jr. currently ranks as the No. 8 overall prospect in the Class of 2026 and the top player from the state of Virginia (according to 247Sports Composite).
Of course, his high school program, Paul VI Catholic, has been a pipeline to Durham in recent memory. Duke joined the Tar Heels in extending an offer over the last few days, as the two rivals both have officially put themselves in the mix for one of the top products that the Class of 2026 has to offer.
