At the moment, college basketball superstar Paige Bueckers has been enjoying the intense competition that has been brought about by the 2024 Olympics. The 22-year-old is not in Paris as a fan or as part of the Team USA contingent competing for a gold medal. However, it is clear from her social media activity that she's enjoying all the Olympic action from back home.
In a few months, however, Bueckers will be back on the court as she kicks off what many expect to be a memorable final year with UConn. At this point in the offseason, you can be sure that the former AP Player of the Year already has her sights set on what's to come.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Bueckers and the Huskies will face off against South Carolina on February 16 at the Colonial Life Arena. More than a few folks out there consider this matchup as one of the most anticipated college games of the season.
South Carolina will present itself as arguably the toughest matchup for UConn this coming season. The Gamecocks are coming off a national championship-winning campaign that saw them go undefeated in 38 games played.

Why because they havent lost a game in over a year? Are the reigning National Champions?
I get that this is basically a UCONN PR piece. Bueckers just signed a shoe deal IN COLLEGE.
Last season, South Carolina blew out Connecticut, 83-65, in Colombia. The Gamecocks hold a psychological edge over Bueckers and Co. after winning five out of their last six battles, including South Carolina's 63-49 victory in the national championship game two years ago.
Psychological edge? How about dominating them and leapfrogging UCONN years ago as one the dominate programs (LSU) in the country?
Womens basketball is at an all time high right now which I love. I love anything basketball but this unmistakable cute white girl (following up on Caitlyn) bit makes me cringe.
