Little Caesars Arena to host Big Ten women's basketball tournament in 2028
Little Caesars Arena will host the 2028 Big Ten women's basketball tournament, the conference announced Wednesday. It will be the first time the Big Ten has held a tournament in Detroit.
The Big Ten released tournament sites for the next four men's and women's basketball tournaments. Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will host the 2025 men's and women's basketball tournaments. They will be the first to feature 15-team fields with the additions of Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington to the conference.
Also new to the Big Ten tournament lineup is T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will host the women's tournament in 2027 and the men's in 2028.
“We look forward to partnering with the cities of Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas as they host the Big Ten Basketball Tournaments from 2025-28,” Big Ten Commissioner, Tony Petitti said in a release. “Each city will be an exciting postseason opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans, both locally and from across the country.”
