Michigan recreational sale can start December 1!?!?

Heard on NPR, this morning, and found an article in the local news:

Mid-Michigan business reacts to legalized sale of recreational marijuana

Mt. MORRIS TOWNSHIP (WJRT) (11/13/19) - The winter forecast may be windy and white, but come December, Michigan will become a lot more green.

An advisory bulletin was released Wednesday announcing recreational marijuana retailers can begin legally selling the drug in Michigan on Dec. 1.

Nearly 80% of Michigan communities are opting out of allowing recreational marijuana businesses within their borders, at least for now.

Not every medical marijuana business will be able to take advantage of the new regulations.

"The communities would get a portion of the tax revenues that would come in," said Brandi Rice-Simpson, the general manager at Light’N Up Provisioning and Microbuddery in Mt. Morris Township. "It would create a lot more jobs, considering that a lot of these facilities are going to see a lot more revenue."

1. Bay City...a dispo on every corner...

Not really but a drive thru the city on M-13 bet there’s one every half mile. Probably will be a great place for rec weed. I grow my own but it’ll be nice to get some edibles to make the holidays cheerful.

2. Edibles are my priority.

And I'm really hoping there is some sort of THC infused CBD oil or tincture. I take a high potency, full spectrum CBD tincture for anxiety and insomnia. It's helped GREATLY with the anxiety, but only somewhat helped with my insomnia. I think the THC will do the trick.

The Flint City Council has banned recreational sales within the city limits. I'm in the Township but haven't heard of any such nonsense, here, and there's several dispensaries within a short drive.

3. I think I read something about the infused CBD.

THC w I’ll definitely get you into slumberland but you must be very careful on the strain you get.
Some can be energizing unless you smoke too much better to get a strain that is primarily used for relaxation and sleep.
I have been growing for about ten years I started using bag seed (seeds found in the bottom of your baggie) cuz it was too expensive and risky buying from overseas. Once states started legitimizing seed companies were popping up all over.
Canada really helped you can buy seeds from there and no customs. From those online seed catalogs I learned which strains were best for what.

If you go there you can see what strains do what it’s in the description of the plant the seed grows. I’m switching to a new seller for my next grow. Seed Cellar. Nothing wrong with GC Seed Cellar is in Jackson I try to support Michigan business when I can. They also have great descriptions of the strains and effects. Only one warning.

Different breeders will brand their own seeds even if the parent genetics are the same. You have to get the names of the cross strains and compare across breeders that way. Not perfect but it gets you close. Then when you go to the dispo you can tell them what you want and they may be able to get you close or right on.

Sorry for the long post... I was trained to grow by a MM caretaker... he installed too much knowledge and taught me how to spout it out.

4. I greatly appreciate the information!

I have a "green thumb" for growing things and am considering starting my own plants. If I do, I'll be coming to this forum for help.

The most amazing thing I noticed about the CBD tincture I'm taking is, even if I'm still not able to sleep for more than 4 or 5 consecutive hours, when I do wake up, my brain doesn't head into "spin" mode and I can sometimes fall back to sleep until my cat, Sophie Stinky Toes, decides it is time to start head butting me, and patty pawing my face until I wake up. And I can't even begin to express how much the quality of my life improved, once the panic and anxiety attacks stopped. I know I'll likely have to take CBD for the rest of my life, to avoid going back to that, but it's safer than relying on big pharma for relief.

I was going to send you the link to “Green Roads World”. My grandson is autistic he 5 and is speech challenged. My daughter, his mom, was considering CBD to help him. I found this website and we ordered gummies from them. They offer a 50% discount for all military on their products.
