Cannabis

I hope this is the right place to post this. After 8 months of chronic back pain (spine) and getting no help from Hydrocodone or Oxycontin, my primary care doctor is putting me in for a medical marijuana card. He's got X-rays, an MRI, and tons of documentation to back up the forms so he expects no problem with me getting the card. He said it may take a month.
I'm hoping to find some forum or group covering the Albuquerque, NM. area where people discuss their experiences with the various dispensaries and even which "med" has helped them most with relieving pain.
I've 'googled' dispensaries, and I've read reviews, web sites, etc and I've emailed a couple dispensaries with questions (none have replied).
Any ideas, etc will be much appreciated.
Thanks

(7,789 posts)The only reason I can sleep at night is a little (ok, a lot of) help from a high-THC strain of Indica. Cannabis should be legal for all American adults. Also, it's a great issue for any politician to run on this cycle.

(1,262 posts)I got my card last October based on severe chronic pain. Pain was affecting my sleep. By taking MM, I am sleeping significantly better.
When I got my card, I registered with about 6 or 7 dispensaries. The best one for getting advice is The Verdes Foundation. I believe The Verdes Foundation is owned and operated by registered nurses. I would suggest you call them for a telephone or in-person consultation.
I'm sorry, but I don't know of any MM forum in ABQ. The Verdes Foundation offers classes. Perhaps someone there may be able to help you find a forum.

(34,195 posts)Being elderly and disabled, I'm always curious if there is a public restroom there.
And as they are a 'cash' business, do they accept debit cards or have an ATM?
thanks

(1,262 posts)Public restrooms at MM dispensaries: I have no information to share with you because I've never checked that out at any of the dispensaries I've visited.
Cash business: of the 7 dispensaries I am registered at, only The Verdes Foundation allows payment by credit card. The rest are, AFAIK, cash only. I don't know which dispensaries, if any, accept debit cards. Some of the dispensaries I've visited have an ATM nearby.
Call or check out the websites of any dispensary you are interested in for more and up-to-date information.
