Democratic presidential hopeful Martin O'Malley will speak at the Polk County Democrats' Fall Dinner on Oct. 9, his campaign announced Friday.

The dinner will be the former Maryland governor's 14th trip to Iowa since his launching his campaign in May. O'Malley and rival Jim Webb, a former Virginia senator, both spoke at the county party's annual spring awards in April. . .

The fall dinner will be held at the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Doors to the event open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30.

The party's website says all declared Democratic candidates have been invited to speak. Information on how to RSVP is available on www.polkdems.com
