(34,651 posts)1. I don't think ending property taxes is necessarily a good thing. Communities depend on them for education,
Fire and police, roads and bridges.
Hartmann has his ideas thou..just not sure I agree

no discussion from Hartman about what would replace it. Somethings gotta give, because something or someone will have to make up the difference. He started the piece speaking about North Dakota, then ended on North Carolina. Are both states considering this?

We might be able to find a better way than property taxes if the rich and big business paid their fair share.
