Trump & Musk Are Engineering a Recession: Why Billionaires Profit When America's Economy Crashes - Thom Hartmann

America’s billionaires would love to have a recession, particularly a really severe one.

While we struggle, they scheme—how a Trump crash could line the pockets of America’s elite…

So don’t be so sure Republicans in the House and Senate won’t celebrate billionaires Trump and Musk dragging America into a second Republican Great Depression if they have a chance.

They and their billionaire buddies have almost nothing to lose and a new and even larger fortune to gain. - Aired on 11/01/2024.

They never told me. What a disappointing lot. Kids today would be better off to work for 4 years and invest long term with tech growth companies than to buy and education and pay it off. Some of the biggest fortunes are made by kids who drop out of college and find an entrepreneurial vein. Dell, Zuck, etc.

I learned more from the Way Back Machine, Peabody's Fractured Fairy Tales than college economics. Peabody told you there were evil kings, despots, manipulating the peasants. It still applies today.

He made more money when there’s an economic crisis back in 2016-2017 when he was in Scotland. I can’t find it now. I’m sure he did just can’t remember why he said it. I want to say he could get properties cheaper.
