Arkansas Granny
Arkansas Granny's JournalI am a 70 year old great grandmother. The thought struck me this morning that when I was
a little girl, we were told that any little boy in America could grow up to be President.
I didn't think I would live to see this day. Go Hillary!!!
Is it customary for the FBI to investigate cases of sexting? This question has been on my mind
for several days now. Sexting just doesn't seem to me to be a serious enough crime to involve Federal investigators. Would it be because the girl he was texting was underage, is because he has been a Representative in the past, is it because his estranged wife is Hillary's top aide? I don't know enough about this type of investigation to even guess why the FBI was involved in this.
James Comey broke with Loretta Lynch and Justice Department tradition
Comeys decision is a striking break with the policies of the Department of Justice, according to current and former federal legal officials. Comey, who is a Republican appointee of President Obama, has a reputation for integrity and independence, but his latest action is stirring an extraordinary level of concern among legal authorities, who see it as potentially affecting the outcome of the Presidential and congressional elections.
You dont do this, one former senior Justice Department official exclaimed. Its aberrational. It violates decades of practice. The reason, according to the former official, who asked not to be identified because of ongoing cases involving the department, is because it impugns the integrity and reputation of the candidate, even though theres no finding by a court, or in this instance even an indictment.
Traditionally, the Justice Department has advised prosecutors and law enforcement to avoid any appearance of meddling in the outcome of elections, even if it means holding off on pressing cases. One former senior official recalled that Janet Reno, the Attorney General under Bill Clinton, completely shut down the prosecution of a politically sensitive criminal target prior to an election. She was adamantanything that could influence the election had to go dark, the former official said.

It's hard for me to believe that this whole bombshell wasn't politically motivated. The thought that this might result in Trump being elected makes me ill.
First Lady Michelle Obama Campaigns With Hillary Clinton for First Time
Wow! Talk about a dynamic duo, Democrats have that covered! I wish I could be there.
The Clinton campaign has described Obama as its "not-so-secret weapon" on the trail as she's crisscrossed the country campaigning for the former secretary of state.
"She has exceeded our expectations in terms of how many events she has been able to do, willing to do. Her team keeps surprising us with additional availability and we can't, from our vantage point, we can't get her out there enough. She's been an absolute rock star," Clinton campaign Press Secretary Brian Fallon said earlier this week.
Obama wowed Democrats with her speech on the first night of the Democratic National Convention, even prompting Clinton to incorporate one of her lines into her stump speech -- "When they go low, we go high."

I don't see her name listed on Hillary's schedule, but Madeleine Albright
has been campaigning for Hillary.

Hillary has a deep bench.
"Governor, Governor, Governor. You're not answering the question."
Is anyone else watching Mike Pence lie his ass off on MTP?. He just keeps talking and talking without saying anything.
The Washington Post endorses Hillary Clinton for President.
IN THE gloom and ugliness of this political season, one encouraging truth is often overlooked: There is a well-qualified, well-prepared candidate on the ballot. Hillary Clinton has the potential to be an excellent president of the United States, and we endorse her without hesitation.
In a moment, we will explain our confidence. But first, allow us to anticipate a likely question: No, we are not making this endorsement simply because Ms. Clintons chief opponent is dreadful.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is dreadful, that is true uniquely unqualified as a presidential candidate. If we believed that Ms. Clinton were the lesser of two evils, we might well urge you to vote for her anyway that is how strongly we feel about Mr. Trump. But we would also tell you that was our judgment.
Fortunately, it is not.

For many women, watching Trump interrupt Clinton 51 times was unnerving but familiar
For many women, the presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was a case study in deja vu. For more than 90 minutes on a national stage, they said Tuesday, Trump subjected the first female presidential candidate from a major party to indignities they experience from men daily, in the workplace and beyond.
Tweeted Chicago-based writer Britt Julious: Thoughts & prayers to every woman watching the #debates & getting painful flashbacks to dudes talking over them at work, school, home, etc.
The sad thing, said Christina Emery, an author from Swansea, Illinois, is that Im so used to men interrupting women especially when they want to change the subject that I didnt pay much attention to Trumps behavior. I was focused on Clinton and how she handled herself.
