crud
crud's JournalNo taxation without representation!
Wasn't that the issue in 1776?
Isn't that exactly what tRump is doing with tariffs?
WSJ says the tariffs are a tax on American consumers.
Just a reminder...entitlements is not a dirty word.
If you payed SS and Medicare taxes, you are entitled to receive the benefits of those programs.
This bugs the crap out of me. Seeing it more and more especially in the mainstream news.
Let's give props to our 3 ladies on the Supreme Court
I'm sure they worked like hell in getting ACB and Roberts on board with the constitution in the USAID decision.
Blaming Ukraine for Putin's war
Is like saying that Nicole Simpson had it coming.
Yes, I know this is horribly offensive, but I couldn't think of a better analogy,
For those of us who still buy some things from Target
Take the survey (that Target sends you about your shopping experience)...you know what to do.
SHUT DOWN DOGE!
Dems need a hill to die on. Shut down Musk. No votes on anything until DOGE and Musk are gone!
Hammer this simple message over and over and over again.
My thoughts on the attacks against DEI
First is the loyalty test for federal employees. If you aren't a white male, you are already disloyal.
If you manage a department in the federal government, you better only hire white males or be prepared to be labeled disloyal.
If you are a lawyer working in the DOJ and you're black or gay, be prepared to get transferred to the civil rights division so you can prosecute companies for discriminating against white males...Or prosecute dem politicians for hampering deportations if you're a latino lawyer.
I'm sure you all and see where this is ultimately headed.
buckle up.
A NYT opinion column that nails it.
reposted from Daily Kos:
And the following are two money paragraphs. It is what every Democrat must come to grips with.
Mr. Trumps voters are granted a level of care and coddling that defies credulity and that is afforded to no other voting bloc. Many of them believe the most ludicrous things: babies being aborted after birth and children going to school as one gender and returning home surgically altered as another gender even though these things simply do not happen. Time and again, we hear the wild lies these voters believe and we act as if they are sharing the same reality as ours, as if they are making informed decisions about legitimate issues. We act as if they get to dictate the terms of political engagement on a foundation of fevered mendacity.
We must refuse to participate in a mass delusion. We must refuse to accept that the ignorance on display is a congenital condition rather than a choice. All of us should refuse to pretend that any of this is normal and that these voters are just woefully misunderstood and that if only the Democrats addressed their economic anxiety, they might vote differently. While they are numerous, that does not make them right.

tsf took more ownership of Jan 6
During the Telemundo thingy, referred to the Jan 6 rioters as "we". "We didn't have guns, the other side had guns" Other side meaning the police guarding the capitol.
...some of them had guns.

Nobody cares, Donald
I could see this as an effective attack line in the debate:
"Nobody cares about your grievances, your false claims of cheating, your revenge fantasies and lies.
The American people care about a lot of things (list some things), but they don't care about you."
You have no answers for them in this debate, all you have are lies, because you only care about yourself"
