BaronChocula's JournalIf someone asks you what WOKE is
SHORTEST ANSWER: Having a true sense of justice against culture war bullies.
SHORT ANSWER:
Standing up to the structural bias of privileged bullies who punch down at otherwise innocent people who are perceived to be dangerous because they are different.
LONG ANSWER:
There are segments of law-abiding Americans who have not traditionally realized full and equal protection under the law. There are also segments in American society who find it satisfying to continue to prevent those marginalized groups from realizing full and equal protection under the law. One who is woke stands up for the struggle of those marginalized (though I hate that word) people. So if a trans person writes a children's book with positive trans or black characters, that is not woke. What is woke is speaking out against anti-woke bigots who try to ban that book.
Can someone shut Korn-Hacky up?
Him and every other media doof that reports based on people's perception rather than the FACTS. I'd love to cram his khakis and big board down his throat. The real story behind Biden's numbers is that Democrats don't get the credit or the benefit of the doubt Republicans get mostly from white voters. But anyway, Kornacki is of no journalistic value. He's like that dog channel people put on for their pooches when they go out. I don't even know what I'm saying anymore. He just pisses me off.
In case I need to repeat this
the Republican party is the political arm of the white nationalist movement.
When elected officials won't move to flush avowed racists and anti-Jewish scum from their party, but feed them/defend them/attend their events, they are themselves racists and anti-Jewish scum.
I have a feeling it's going to be a good December
In November of 2010 the Democratic party took a "shellacking" as President Obama put it. Democratic unified control of the White House and Congress would be lost, though the Senate would remain under Democratic control. The post-election period inspired quick action which led to a marvel of Democratic achievements in advance of Republican promises of gridlock and other tea party foolishness. Though many Democrats prematurely turned on President Obama for his agreement to leave Bush tax cuts in place, that anger was mitigated with the bundle of successes Obama rolled out just prior to Christmas. These successes included the New START Treaty, the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, and a payroll tax cut. The link to the transcript of Obama's end-of-the-year press conference is below. I recall watching that press conference while visiting my parents for Christmas that year.
I'm looking forward to a similar December while the adults are still in complete charge. I could be wrong, but I hope not. I sense the Respect for Marriage Act is a sign of the December to come. I wish my parents were still around to see it, but I'll be happy nevertheless.

So happy Joy Hofmeister is clarifying the crime issue
When she pointed out gopper Kevin Stitt's Oklahoma has a higher crime rate than New York in the gubernatorial debate, she answered my prayers. I've been trying to point this out for months. That's how you fight gopper lies. Today I'm a happy Dem.
Court's decision to provide white juvenile offenders with shorter sentences shows bias, lawyer says
Source: The Grio
SEATTLE (AP) The attorney for a Black man serving a virtual life sentence for shootings he committed at 17 has asked the Washington Supreme Court to reconsider a split ruling that upheld his sentence, saying the leniency it granted white defendants in similar situations reveals racial bias.
The court last month upheld the 61-year sentence for Tonelli Anderson, 45, over forceful dissents from four justices.
The decision abandoned a precedent issued just a year earlier in which the court said in the case of a white defendant that such lengthy punishments for juvenile killers were unconstitutional because it left them no chance of a meaningful life outside prison.

Rubbing ice cubes together to light a fire
is like voting for a republican to fix the economy. But the Reagan brainwash continues.
What the Abbott-DeSantis stunt proves
Republicants can't handle shit on their own. They can't manage anything. From power grids to immigration, they are the ultimate failure. They don't know how to deal with immigrants entering their poorly run states so it makes sense to send those migrants to states that are competently managed.
Dear DeSabbott,
We already know you suck, but thanks for helping to clarify that point.
Love,
America
I bet the feds are quietly having this discussion
Do we have enough protection for potential targets around the country when we take the kumquat-colored conman into custody? His cadre of unhinged goons will go after any number of establishments with their racially motivated rage. Knowing that police organizations coast-to-coast have white nationalists in their ranks doesn't help matters. Personally, I say go Nike - Just do it. I don't think a redneck rebellion would last very long if there was a committed effort to put it down.
Here's an incomplete list of gop suckups who've been down to M-a-L
What were they doing? What did they see? What were they shown? Did they receive any money? Where did that money come from? These are just questions. Nothing wrong with asking questions.
