Because you can't cheat at that if you don't know how to do it.
No frills, but comprehensive Milton forecasts from NOAA
This page provides different maps, each showing different forecast data. No fancy animations, but you don't have to sit through any ads for Thumbtack or Home Depot before you get the info.

Jelani Cobb knocks it out of the park
On Joy. He related relevance of the the Harris-Cheney rally in Wisconsin at the site of the formation of the Republican party (I'll capitalize it here).
He said the coalition Harris is forming with disgruntled Republicans is as significant as the coalition of Whigs, Free Soilers, Know Nothings etc. that came together to form the Republican party.
This was a significant event.

The total irony of the latest Middle East outbreak
It's the hundredth birthday of the Nobel Peace Prize winner who successfully negotiated Mideast peace talks.
One hundred years ago today
Lillian Gordy Carter was hours from making history as the first woman to give birth to a future president in a hospital.
Today that president waits as Georgia registrar's can begin sending out absentee ballots on October 7th.
Melania Trump puts her new memoir on her reading list
Melania Trump briefly emerged from obscurity to plug a new memoir "Melania" by announcing she has put it on her reading list. While appearing on Fox and Friends, Trump raved "I hear is good book, I will read."
The former first lady submitted her complete fall reading list found below.
1. Melania

Happy Equinox DUers!
Does it seem like the length of daylight is 10x shorter than it was yesterday?
Speaking of Springfield...
The "Simpsons" have taken on the immigration issue in at least two episodes.
There was "Much Apu About Nothing" (1996)
and
"Coming to Homerica" (2009)
The correlations to the current idiocy is stunning.
Harris Republicans and downballot races
The Republican spell started breaking in 2020 with disparate Republicans getting fed up with the maga-fication of the gop. Its now a reluctant movement with Republican voters organizing and speaking out on the dangers of trump. With all the polling energy dedicated to the presidential race there is little or no data as to how many Harris Republicans are so fed up with their party that theyre willing to vote for any Democrats downballot.
The real test for No-More-trumpers is how far downballot theyre willing to go in order to end what ails them about their own party. They can vote for Harris and then turn around and vote for a detestable maga Congressmember who is still hellbent on carrying out disruptive maga tactics which defeats the purpose of voting for Harris in the first place. Why elect the pro-Democracy presidential candidate while supporting the anti-Democracy congressional candidate?
A partial answer to some of these questions lies in the link below (thanks BlueMTexpat).
https://nbcmontana.com/news/local/group-of-montana-republicans-form-group-in-support-for-tester
While its clear Tester had to have won his past elections with help from Republicans, in Montana theyre doing something they havent done before which is openly assembling in support of the Democrat. Perhaps this is something that should be happening more. Googling republicans for tammy baldwin or republicans for colin allred wont yield anything on topic. Perhaps it should.
This past week Liz Cheney further surprised by coming out in support of Allreds campaign for senate in Texas. The Tester Republicans and Liz Cheney show us that there is some downballot common sense coming from No-More-trumpers. But theres possibly way more potential for that movement in more places and races coast-to-coast. Heres hoping.
