Why republicans get more credit on the economy

I was ecstatic to hear President Clinton clarify that Democrats have created waaaaayyyyy more jobs than Republicans and by that measure, are better than republicans on handling the economy. That has led many over the past 18 hours to ask why it is people trust republicans more on the economy than Democrats. So far, the answer I've heard is the hackneyed "Democrats are bad at messaging" response. And while Democrats have certainly had issues with messaging, it's not the answer to everything.

If you ask people which party is better at addressing civil rights, Democrats will win that one and it's not because Democrats are any better at messaging on civil rights than they are on the economy. People rank the parties and their strengths on raw perception. When people picture the republican party they envision exactly what is in the picture below. They see a huddle of white men. When they picture the Democratic party they see fewer white men and a lot more people of color, women, LGBTQ+ folk, uniquely abled, and non-christians.

White men in America have had a long history of being given credit and passes on things they have not necessarily deserved by a plurality of other Americans, particularly other white Americans. That same plurality will prioritize national security along with the economy as a "top tier" issue. White men who have sat atop the American power pyramid are simply assumed to be more adept at handling "bigger problems."

As we've seen, even when a white male Democrat as president lists his economic and national security achievements, the same American plurality becomes deaf. The first American president to make military strikes against al-Qaeda was Bill Clinton, a Democrat. The president who ordered the mission that killed Osama bin Laden was Barack Obama, a Democrat. The man who was president when al-Qaeda attacked the U.S. was George W. Bush who was extolled simply for being in office on that tragic day. Any popularity bump President Obama got for taking out America's public enemy no. 1 was negligible.

When the economy crashed at the end of the W administration, Barack Obama spent eight years coaxing it back to thriving levels. But it was republican rapist donald trump who inherited a healthy economy who got credit for helming us through our fiscal waters to a place of satisfaction. When Joe Biden restored our economy and jobs following the Trump Collapse, the only story was "stubborn inflation."

Of course, I hope all the best for President Kamala Harris. It would be wonderful if she guided us through the best period of peace and prosperity we've known in decades AND received proper credit for it. But I won't hold my breath. I don't expect any mutations in that American genetic programming that can't give credit due to anyone unless they're a straight white Christian male. But what would help is if all Democrats got on the same page and repeated early and often "republicans suck at the economy and they suck at keeping us safe."

"Journalists" still rubbing their hands for reverse of Harris momentum

For at least the past three weeks, Club MSM has been parroting a gopper position that the excitement behind Kamala Harris is not sustainable. They're not saying "we don't know if this will last." They're saying "what goes up must come down" as if Harris is fated for a fall. They cite "unforeseen world events" that can happen in Iran or x location under the assumption that world affairs are the vice president's Achilles heel.

Meanwhile Ukraine who has been backed by the Biden-Harris Administration has gone on offense and moved into Russia. Israel just accepted a Ceasefire deal in Cairo. But these things don't seem to count in Harris' favor when the Susan Pages and Andrea Mitchells run their mouths. Such maga-adjacent behavior. They can't just report that a Democratic campaign is successful. They have to speculate about damaging hypotheticals. That's what they think being objective is. They're so afraid of reich-wing media calling them liberal, they've been scared into tainting the actual news.

No, this in itself is anything but news, but it is more evidence in the case of journalistic malpractice in the MSM.

Poor Never-trumpers and their script

The Susan Del Percios of the world are on message that Harris whose poll numbers have been steadily rising "can't get any higher than another point because we live in such a divided country."

Conventional wisdom and recent patterns suggest that "division" is not as rigid as their Del Percio-style thinking. Democrats and progressive issues have been outperforming polls at the ballot box. Republicans continue to move away from Trump. There are no Democrats for Trump to balance or nullify the Republicans for Harris. There's always a lag in polls so it's quite likely the polls are not reflecting the total movement towards the veep.

One could charitably argue that the SD Ps are setting low expectations so Democrats don't get comfortable, but I'm not charitable. I think the dumb from having been republicans hasn't fully washed off.

BREAKING: Trump leads in new John Barron poll 184773%

A new John Barron Very Important Media Enterprises poll shows a "surging and masculine Donald Trump with a very good brain" and an "innnevertible complete and embarrasing collpase" of the Harris-Walz campaign.

The poll reflects Donald Trump leading "very dumb and very nasty" Vice President "kambabala Harris" 184773% to "a very pathetic and terrible" -679399%.

The poll's margin of error is "what's a margin of error?"

One name you election deniers sitting on election boards should remember

Rudy Giuliani.

Any election board members anywhere in the country who plan on attempting to throw the election for your rapist, remember that name. Rudy Giuliani. He's the guy who thought he was beyond penalty for his attempts to subvert laws and for his defaming of innocent poll workers.

If you refuse to properly certify election results as is your duty, you will be pursued if not criminally then civilly. You will be forced to pay for lawyers. Your party will not bail you out. Your rapist will not bail you out. There is a chance you may not go to jail, but you may loser your house and everything you own.

Every ally of your rapist who ended up indicted and/or imprisoned committed violations to which they thought their white privilege would shield them and it didn't. The rapist you are planning to protect has millions of dollars in judgments against him for defamation and for fraud. Do you really think you can defraud the voters and get away with it? Think again.

Low-Energy Rapist plans press blithering during Men's 200 m Final

Who is running this campaign? Who thought Shady Vance was a good idea? When does this guy leave maga-lardo? What's with that hair? Shouldn't he be in prison?

SPOILER ALERT:

Botswana Tebogo won gold
U.S. Bednarek won silver
U.S. Lyles won bronze

Shady Vance's attempted fragging of Gov. Walz will backfire

Fragging of course is the killing of soldiers, often superior officers by members of their own unit.

Not all U.S. vets agree politically, but they normally have respect for each other out of the sacrifice they were willing to make for their country. As with any population, you'll end up with an occasional vet who happens to be a sociopath and will do or say anything to get what they want. That is who Shady Vance is. He is embarking on an old republican strategy of defamation in lying about the honorable service of Tim Walz.

It's not going to work as it did (if it did) when used against John Kerry considering the low-bar test of likability for politicians among many Americans. Walz is the guy you want to have a beer with. Vance is the guy that finds everyone's busy when he wants to grab a beer.

People look at Walz and they see a happy extraordinarily compassionate leader who can hug children and laugh. People look at Shady and see a creepy scheming loner who may or may not be planning a mass shooting. As it is now the shots he's taking at Gov. Walz are with an empty water pistol. Even most uninformed voters are getting the skinny on Vance that he's not likable and when you're not likable people often won't find you credible.

Ali Vitali just got a velvet slapdown from Sen. Fetterman

She's anchoring Tur's hour and tragically trying to play up drama between Fetterman and Gov. Shapiro. He's not having it.

"I just don't understand why we're talking about a choice that was already made" Fetterman shot back after Vitali speculated over Shapiro's Mideast stance keeping him off the ticket. She further tried to insinuate that there was some intraparty civil war on the issue.

It's a shame. I think she's an ok reporter, but it looks like marching orders for the anchor seat are to drum up drama and not news.

Meanwhile I have yet to see anyone challenge Shay-D Vance on his lies regarding Gov. Walz' military service. This is more MSNBC early block malpractice.

BREAKING: Trump infuses campaign with $2 donation

With polls reflecting the flawless campaign rollout of Vice President Kamala Harris, former rapist Donald Trump fortified his own campaign with an unprecedented $2 donation to his own effort.

"I'm rich. I don't need anyone else's money" trump crowed as he wrote a postdated check for $.50, promising to pay the $1.50 balance in his digital trading cards that were pulled from sale in March of this year.

More on this story as it develops.

Liberalism is a value
