Girard442's JournalMichelle Obama famously said, "When they go low, we go high.'
In these times I'd add, "...and also low."
Given that Kamala Harris is a liberal woman of color with Jewish connections going up against a campaign that has been nakedly fascist, racist, misogynistic, and antisemitic, somebody needs to return fire. I think that Ms. Harris and President Biden would be better off remaining above the dreck, but a lot of us don't need to. Remember this isn't great political philosophy -- it's needling TFG and the MAGAts with things that piss them off and makes them say self-destructive things:
Some talking points:
* Trump farts uncontrollably and is incontinent. Numerous people have complained about his odor.
* He wears lifts that are so extreme that his shoes fell off during the assassination attempt. He has a special platform to support the front of his feet when he's speaking because he can't stand very long with the lifts otherwise.
* He has the support of Evangelical leaders and says God is on his side, yet has never acknowledged any sins or expressed contrition. The Evangelicals have long since given up trying to sell the idea that he was "born again". If he wasn't they're standing by his side as (as per their stated beliefs) he's headed straight to Hell, which makes them pretty wonderful Christians too, no?
* He's been convicted of sexual assault. He also admitted to being a sexual assaulter on an audio recording.
* He's been convicted on 35 (oops, 34. My bad) counts of felony fraud -- on every charge brought against him by prosecutors.
* He molested children procured for him by Epstein.
* He bullshat everyone into believing he was a successful businessman when his only skill was moving money invisibly out of his Daddy's estate -- or later laundering dirty Russian Mafia money.
* He stole classified documents. Much of the evidence was displayed publicly for everyone to see. He'd be in be in jail now if his corrupt judges hadn't bailed him out.
* He has a thing about Hannibal Lecter. You know, the guy who bit someone's face off and used as a mask in a prison break. Hannibal Lecter, if he existed, would have had this guy for lunch. (OK, I apologize, that was bad.)
* He likes dictators. I mean, really likes dictators. Unfortunately, his corrupted SCOTUS has decreed that whoever is in the White House is now a dictator.
* He has dementia. He inherited it from his father who died of it. His speeches are deranged. I think the only way he's gotten away with the shtick so long is that no one actually listens to them.
* He (and his people) planned the 1/6 Insurrection and cheerled while it was ongoing. People actually died that day. We almost lost the country.
I could go on. There's more. My typing fingers are tired.
Remember folks:
Failure is not an option.
FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.
Not just a snappy slogan. It's our reality. We must live it. Every moment of every day.
I want my fucking money back.
More dough for Joe.
I have a belief that when you find yourself in a bad situation and there is no clear path to a good outcome, the only thing you can do is act in such a way that when you look back, you can tell yourself you did the best you could.
I sent Joe another contribution. Godspeed, Joe.
So, now we wait on TSF's speech.
Will he:
a) Not show,
b) Fall asleep,
c) Deliver an over-tranked low-energy zombie speech,
d) break down and cry like a baby,
e) be so juiced that he rants about exterminating the vermin while throwing stiff-armed salutes, or,
d) God forbid, be sort of normal?
I thing the Dem bigwigs calling for Joe to step down are living in the past.
They think if he then loses, they'll be seen as the Wise Ones perfectly situated to influence the Democratic Party in the 2026 and 2028 elections.
Except if Trump wins there won't be 2026 and 2028 elections, or a Democratic Party.
Y'know, for those people so sure that TFG's life was spared by supernatural intervention...
...what makes them so sure it was God?
So, has Trump himself made an actual appearance? Ghost-written text messages don't count.
Seems pretty certain that Trump is physically well right now. Wonder how he is psychologically.
We haven't seen any public appearance from him.
