Girard442's JournalI want my fucking money back.
More dough for Joe.
I have a belief that when you find yourself in a bad situation and there is no clear path to a good outcome, the only thing you can do is act in such a way that when you look back, you can tell yourself you did the best you could.
I sent Joe another contribution. Godspeed, Joe.
So, now we wait on TSF's speech.
Will he:
a) Not show,
b) Fall asleep,
c) Deliver an over-tranked low-energy zombie speech,
d) break down and cry like a baby,
e) be so juiced that he rants about exterminating the vermin while throwing stiff-armed salutes, or,
d) God forbid, be sort of normal?
I thing the Dem bigwigs calling for Joe to step down are living in the past.
They think if he then loses, they'll be seen as the Wise Ones perfectly situated to influence the Democratic Party in the 2026 and 2028 elections.
Except if Trump wins there won't be 2026 and 2028 elections, or a Democratic Party.
Y'know, for those people so sure that TFG's life was spared by supernatural intervention...
...what makes them so sure it was God?
So, has Trump himself made an actual appearance? Ghost-written text messages don't count.
Seems pretty certain that Trump is physically well right now. Wonder how he is psychologically.
We haven't seen any public appearance from him.
If we grassroots Dems let the press and the political insiders and celebs drive Joe off the ticket...
...we will lose and deservedly so. To willingly give up the advantages of incumbency, a concrete positive track record, and decades of experience in a panicked flight to anybody-but-Joe is a major loser move.
I'm so old I remember when suggesting a prominent person might come to an untimely end was in very bad taste and...
...could get one ostracized or even banned.
Seems like a really long time ago.
Can we all act like people fighting a battle to not lose what we love?
For cryin' out loud. Even Walter Mitty had bigger balls.
