(2,234 posts)double mask when were around anyone, particularly in stores, social distance, use hand sanitizer as soon as we got in the car, and wash hands as soon as we got home.
We stopped going to stores and got grocery pickup or delivery for one stressful month. It was worthless because so much stuff wasnt included that we still had to go in the store. So weve pretty much always gone to the grocery, but I hate going to the grocery in the best of times, so I have shopping down to a science, with my list coordinated to a map of the store. Im like Supermarket Sweep in there.
I still use hand sanitizer as soon as I get in the car, before I take off my mask. Ill probably always do this. I think its a good habit. I also wash my hands after I put away groceries. But we never did leave stuff outside or wipe everything down. Were just too ADD to get that together.
We have continued to see friends and family outdoors, masked, and distanced throughout this time. Our friends are as careful as we are, so weve all felt safe, and no one has gotten sick. Were lucky to have friends who have big yards and patios that made it easy to continue socializing.
Now that we and all our friends are fully vaxxed, we have gotten together with two other couples indoors without masks. I was nervous. The next get-together will be outdoors. Im glad.
