6. Surely the actual leak was done by a conservative clerk, but that misses the point

I can't imagine a clerk going rogue to do this. Jeopardizing everything they worked for for an unclear purpose.

Surely one of the justices, or Ginni Thomas, convinced them to do it.

I don't think a justice would personally do it; too visible. Why would they risk getting exposed by a journalist or even by accident.

But I can see a justice thinking there might be a strategic reason to leak it, perhaps thinking they need to break it slowly so the people don't riot. And then having a clerk do the dirty work.


So the question is, whose clerk?
