I immediately recalled how my darling Maltese was able to sense my feelings and he could also tell if I was not feeling well. One example:
I had major surgery - the doctor's orders were that I stay home for 5 weeks and recuperate. From the moment that I came home, Muffy never left my side.
Weeks later, I was sleeping and all of a sudden I woke up and realized that Muffy was walking across my stomach - I was so upset, I almost started to cry.
Then I realized, it was almost five weeks to the day ---- Muffy was telling me that I was well. The doctor agreed.
Another example -- his "Pet Sitter" had two huge dogs. Muffy was not afraid of them. One of the dogs had seizures. The owner told me that she trained Muffy to quickly place his paw on her dogs paw when the dog had a seizure.
At first, it was hard to believe that " My Little Muffy" could have such a keen sense. It became routine and once again " Dr. Muffy" was fantastic.
Another time I was watching TV with Muffy and all of a sudden my head started pounding. I was trying to reach for the phone to call for my neighbor as Muffy jumped into my lap and started licking my face -- when he finally stopped, It was then that I realized, the Headache, I was under a lot of stress at the time, was gone.
I called the Dr. and he still advised me to go to the hospital.
They determine that it was STRESS.
Dr. Muffy was a sweetheart.
