In reply to the discussion: Best take I've seen so far in regards to Trump's assassination attempt. [View all]xocetaceans
(4,021 posts)It would have seemed more prudent for the Secret Service to have restrained Dirtbag Donnie from his desperate grasping at a campaign photo-op (lest it be a final, truly ugly one), to have treated the situation as completely unsecured, and then to have proceeded to a location which would have been known to be fully secured.
At the end of the day, Dirtbag Donnie might have learned how Mike Pence might have felt on Jan. 6. (That is doubtful, though. Trump is not strong on empathy.) After all, what was it that Trump said about Pence? Wasn't it "He deserves it [the hanging the crowds of Trumplodytes wanted to administer to Pence]" or something close to that? A rope or a bullet...there is not much of a difference after all is said and done. Both were assassination attempts, and Trump only cares about the one that involved him. Pence would have been just a politically expedient expendable on the way to an illegitimate second Trump term if Trump's insurrection had succeeded.
