I'm sorry to hear about the loss of one with such a monicker. My dad died of pancreatic cancer, although his battle took 11 months.
I hope our ranks thin no further!
I can believe that he never DID give up. There are some battles where one just doesn't return victorious. It doesn't mean you didn't fight the good fight.
