he Douglas County Election Commission office on Friday resembled a store with a Black Friday door-buster as people voted early in person at a record-breaking pace.
"I've never seen anything like it," Douglas County Election Commissioner Brian Kruse said Friday afternoon at the office in west Omaha. "It's just crazy."
He estimated there were 500 people in line at about 1:30 p.m.
"And it's been that way since 8 a.m.," Kruse said.
