'The biggest powerhouse Democratic donor wrangler that nobody has ever heard of' [View all]

One of the biggest Democratic fundraisers in Michigan this cycle doesn’t live in a moneyed conclave, nor does he own a luxury yacht.

He lives in a four-bedroom quad in Bloomfield Township, drives a Kia Niro, and works by day as a healthcare policy data analyst.

And with just days before the election, Charles Gaba, the 54-year-old founder of the website Blue 24, has raised some $13 million for Democrats, including about $9 million for Kamala Harris.

In the first two days that Harris became the nominee, according to a screenshot of his ActBlue page, Gaba was responsible for roughly 2 percent of all small-dollar donations.
