I think she lost because too many Americans are hell bent on retribution for Obama and for allowing gays to marry. All the rest is just extra.

Edit to add - we all all pick at it. The talking heads will pick at it. Chances are all of us are wrong. At the end of the day, people determined to hate are going to hate.
