11. These people aren't "conservatives."

I don't know why people continue to use a word that has long been hijacked by those on the radical right. They aren't about "conserving" or "preserving" anything.

These people have no idea how rotten the 1950s were, especially for women. The ONLY reason most married women were in the home was because they were FORCED out of the labor force following WWII to make way for the returning servicemen.

The 1950s were totally miserable, and the constricting way of life was the major reason the 1960s, meaning later in the decade, were so volatile.
