5. Secession

I think it's still a little premature to formally secede, but I suspect that its at least being talked about.

I see secession happening if one of a few key conditions are met:

* Trump manages to clear President for Life through House, Senate and SCOTUS
* Federal Troops being sent to quell "unrest" in Blue States.
* Punitive fines or taxes being levied upon Blue states/sanctuary cities.
* Declaration of martial law by Trump or Vance without strong justification.

I don't believe that any of these will end up happening, if only because Trump has only a very tenuous grasp on the reins of power at this point, barely enough to govern, let alone govern decisively.

Of course, I also didn't believe that Trump was going to get re-elected, and I'm still not convinced that it was legitimate.
