(1,318 posts)Sometimes female-dominated fields, which are typically the better jobs but are denigrated economically, are called "pink collar." We don't have an aristocracy in the U.S.--not yet.
The fact so many MEN, no matter their occupation, voted for Trump has nothing to do with the "strong man" image of Trump. It has everything to do with the opposing party having a WOMAN. After all, other Democratic presidents and candidates received plenty of blue collar support. But those candidates were MALE. The Republicans could run a chimpanzee or a dead man for president as long as the candidate is a MALE.
We don't need to "win them over" because most of them CAN'T and WON'T be. We have literally millions of people who don't vote, who aren't registered. THAT is who we aim for. We don't need racists and sexists in the Democratic Party.
