Why are many media acting like Rump is already President?? [View all]

NY Times had a story the other day "Kimberly Gilfoyle appointed Ambassador to Greece".
Last I checked, Rump can't appoint anybody to anything until after he is inaugurated.
He may have announced who he will appoint to various positions once he's in, but that's it.
The only President who can make appointments at this time is Joseph R. Biden.
