(Southern Baptist Convention) over their opposition to leadership and clergy for women. They are the largest protestant organization is the US. Denouncing the SBC is akin to a Catholic leaving the church.

Jimmy supported the Equal Rights Amendment, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (a liberal inclusive group), LGBTQ rights, apposed hate group such as the KKK. Conservative protestants then gravitated to the RW hardliners that we see today.
