71. I dropped an old friend right after J6.

We grew up together, families were friends, etc. we'd stayed in touch off and on through adult-hood, although his behavior while drinking took a toll on our friendship.

Finally, our only contact was through email. Through the first Trump term he got more and more bigoted. Really hateful toward women leaders, Black leaders, gay people, etc. (I'm a gay woman married to a Latina/Indigenous woman.) He also said hateful things about my family. His excusing J6 was the last straw. I emailed him that I didn't want to communicate with him anymore because of his bigotry.

He proved my point when he ran to his elderly parents to complain about me and insist that they "cancel" me.

The last I heard from him was a mean blast from him when my mother died. What a charmer.
