I'm sure we can expect the same evasion from all of Trump's other nominees. They know what they have been selected for.

Let's not kid ourselves. Evasions on questions like "would you obey an order from the POTUS to use military power on American citizens" or "would you use the power of your office to exact revenge on politicians the POTUS does not like" amounts to a resounding YES, they would absolutely do that.
