- every click benefits Musk

Perhaps you could explain (a) why you think this, and (2) how you think it works.

Twitter runs on ad revenue when ads there are viewed. Nobody, but nobody on DU posts ads from Twitter.

In fact, every tweet that's displayed on DU steals bandwidth from Musk and costs him money in overheads to run Twitter's servers. Likewise if anyone isolates an image from Twitter and posts that here.

The most posting tweets here does is add a tiny bit to Twitter's site traffic. The days when Musk or anyone else could use that stat to lure advertisers are long gone, not least because of the bots that run rampant there and will never buy anything from anyone.

If you don't like it, don't click on it, or just go ahead and block anyone who posts things you don't approve of if you feel so strongly. OPs like this are beyond tired, and just propagate the same old myths that the posters never bother to try to defend when challenged as above.

If I see content on Twitter that I think others will find interesting or useful, I'll find a way of posting it. In the unlikely event there's no way to propagate it other than posting a tweet, I'll go ahead and do that.
