(5,533 posts)20. Ahhh... gotcha! The insinuation is (again) that "Democrats are just sitting on our hands doing nothing."
What is the plan from Democrats? Who is organizing them to respond, to take action against the illegal actions of our King?
Donate money to fighters, donate to the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, AOC, Jasmine Crocket.
Democratic Party, stop sending me texts to donate more money. Show me what you are doing first?

I understand that you're concerned. We all are. But I also understand that it's unreasonable to expect minute-by-minute updates posted on Instagram or other social media. In today's digital age, there is a prevailing trend where individuals seek fleeting validation through frequent and often superficial posts about their thoughts, activities, and experiences.
This constant stream of updates has conditioned people to anticipate and EXPECT instantaneous information, whether it originates from acquaintances, loved ones, public figures, or political entities. Then when the expected updates do not come as quickly (or as often) some will wrongly assume that something must be wrong. Or, worse yet, some will assume it means they don't care any more, or that they're literally doing nothing.
Sometimes I see these excessive updates and wonder to myself "don't they have anything BETTER or MORE PRODUCTIVE to do with their time??" --- And in the case of our stalwart and honorable Democrats who are NOT posting a continual stream of consciousness... it's clear to me that they DO INDEED have more productive things to do with their time. And for that, I am grateful.
Listen, I know that it can be frustrating for people who want and demand instant-gratification and nonstop information. Logically, that feeling will be made worse and people can be left feeling even more powerless simply because they aren't in-the-loop of what's going on. But I'd like to remind you that simply because we can't SEE what's going on, doesn't mean that NOTHING is transpiring behind the scenes and outside of the public view.
Everyone is, of course, entitled to advocate for donations to their preferred causes, groups, or political figures, I believe, however, as part of your efforts to encourage donations and support to specific causes/groups... I think it's important to avoid making sweeping negative and unjust insinuations, such as suggesting that the Democratic party is not doing anything or that the party aren't "fighters".
My support of the Democratic party isn't conditional or transactional. I encourage you and anyone who thinks as you to to keep the faith and to support our elected leaders.

PS: With regard to receiving texts and other donation requests from the Democratic Party... just unsubscribe. Or block the numbers being used to contact you.

Tsk, Tsk. Everyone calm down and relax. Do not over react. Have patience. Trump is not that bad.

With all due respect, I think he did make a suggestion -- a pretty good one really. From his OP:

After the election loss (and even before), the Democratic Party leaders should have prepared for this situation.

This sounds like the logic and justification people gave for voting for Stein.
