Hitler originally wanted to deport people to Madagascar, an island off the west coast of Africa.
It was decided this was too expensive and complicated.

So then he decided to build concentration camps in Europe.
But then it was expensive to house, feed, clothe and manage prisoners.
We know what he did then.
