In reply to the discussion: Donald Trump Is Indicted in New York: Live Updates [View all]tornado34jh
(1,357 posts)Look, I'm not saying the indictments are bad. They are a great first step. I am also aware that things do take time and that we have don't have control of it, but I guarantee you that if you or I did the same thing that Trump is accused of or should have been accused of, would it have taken that long? Not a chance. Even once he is actually in court, how likely is it that he will be a flight risk or get out on bond? My point is, the whole justice system is not equal in the slightest, it highly favors the rich, and I know it will not be changed anytime soon, because it has been corrupted.
I hope I am wrong on this, but assuming he does get convicted, I think it will go all the way to the US Supreme Court, and I have no trust that they will get it right. Again, I am just going based on what I have seen. If somehow the conviction isn't overturned on appeal, assuming the trial goes and then he is found guilty, I would be impressed. Remember, he is banking on this dragging on and by the time the election comes, it will be corrupted enough where it favors him and he will seek vengeance against his enemies. But again, until he is actually on trial and convicted, and put in jail, he is still a dangerous man, not to mention his most rabid followers.
