(38,315 posts)8. IMO, almost any show longer than two years. At least for American shows.
Most American shows are best the first two years & then go downhill. American writers seem reluctant to write characters out so they keep the same tired cast year after year. It's not unusual in English shows to have more than one main character written out in a season.

I started to watch ER in the fourth or fifth season and watched its depressing downward spiral.

I watched it from the start, writhing was great, actors strong, It was my must watch show.Actors left at about the 4/5

Thank you bottomofthehill. I watched the first two seasons and stopped as it was boring. I didn't know it was still on.
