Whenever I see or hear, "DMV" I cringe in fear of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. It's a primal reaction anyone from New York can attest to.

I'd never heard it used in any other context before.

I did read the article, but still couldn't find anything that explained what it was.

Everything go alright at the Dentist's? Nothing serious, I hope.
