2. Not everyone who has a concealed permit actually conceals.

Two decades ago I had a concealed permit in CT. I never carried concealed around town. The issue was that the laws were not clear to me on how precisely one had to transport a weapon around the state to go shooting. So, you get the concealed carry permit and then none of it matters because you can carry it on you loaded.

Then, you have a lot of small businessmen who might carry concealed. People who run convenience stores. Maybe contractors who pay day laborers in cash.

I would bet that the actual number of people who just put on a gun to go grocery shopping is almost zero, but I am not sure there are any good figures on it.
