We are talking about major society problems with power and social programming. It is no accident that the young woman that embraced the torture in Iraq was protected and encouraged and the one who tried to put limits on it was suicided.
Please, really read this: This happens over and over. We think we have made progress on something like child abuse, racism and human rights when we have not. AND THIS WILL KEEP HAPPENING OVER AND OVER until we fix the problem which is we need to cut the financial and political strings of the soulless, heartless puppet-masters, bring back our country for the people and then the kids have a chance. They don't now.
This is another Martha Stewart moment (scape-goating) mixed with another FitzChristmas Eve moment, (waiting for what we all worked, hoped and prayed would happen but it hasn't and won't the way things are.) But you think it has so you can stand down now cause you won that someone is finally doing something.
Now you want to stop me from trying to define the failures in our country in order to really fix them. (That or it is payback for my criticism of you wasting time (yours and mine) equating flu to ebola a day or so ago. Way to meme-y for me to ignore on a tough day. I usually admire, like and agree with what you post. I did not accuse you of rooting for ebola to win) They got you doing what they want, arguing with me and ignoring the overall problem to real progress.
The outstanding Democrats used to think like this and they defeated the bad guys that have always been around, not joined them and torpedoed those who are trying to do the hard stuff. You have to see the problem to fix it. We are actually on the same side.
