talking about. I've eaten this way for about three years and have kept off the almost 40 pounds I lost. I eat tons of vegies, a bit of fruit, mostly berries and some melon. "Clean" meat (grass fed and pastured), but not very much because it's kind of pricey. It is highfat so nuts and seeds, coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, etc. Very limited dairy for me (I'm trying to cut it out). I've lost a ton of weight and haven't regained and my numbers are good. It is very healthy if you do it right. It's not the "Atkins low carb diet" that some seem to think it is. Although you can certainly have bacon if that's your thing, just make sure it's nitrate free. I wish people who jump into threads like this knew what they were talking about. The "moderate" low fat, diets people push is replete with grains and sugars and not healthy at all in my opinion. Although the processed food companies love it. The way I and most people I know do it uses whole foods - avoid the packaged stuff, artificial sweeteners Just stick to lots of veggies, good fats, moderate protein. If you do it right you are never hungry and it becomes very easy to pass up the breads and sugary desserts. I just ate a small bit of watermelon with my lunch and it was the most lusious, delicious thing...

I lost 35 pounds in like 6 weeks, sometimes a pound a day. dem4decades Jul 2018 #1
