just before the food was set out. I couldn't help thinking that the cat was probably saying to herself, "You'll have to try harder to get rid of me!"

I've had cats go missing for months to a year, gave up on them, and they came back. It turned out that the kitty that was gone for a year had moved in with someone else, came back to me for a visit.
