a family biography of the remarkable aristocratic Stauffenberg family, whose most famous member, Claus von Stauffenberg, tried to blow up Hitler. Claus and his brothers appear to be talented geniuses, with a bright mother as well. They had an idea that aristocrats like them should aspire be moral examples to the rest of Germany, a noteworthy cause given that the average German aristocrat of the time cared little more than exploiting the peasants and indulging in drunken orgies.
