Metaphor for Grief

Grief is like the titanic
sliding you inexorably
into the abyss

Horrifying
pulling you
crushing you
drowning
you

it’s dark and cold
inside your soul

the loss sits inside
you cannot move away
and you
don’t even want to

for the loss of your love
has taken your will to live

now part of you
is dead

like the Titanic as it
endures the
iceberg.
