The HUGE blow to Romney comes the 7th and 8th,

Everybody expected Romney to tack to the center immediately after the primaries. Instead, he continued hard right, courting the tea partiers who hate him. Maybe he figured that over summer, all but the most political are on vacation and not paying attention.

And then, in the first big televised event around the elections, there he is tacking hard center (except when he made the incredible tactical blunder of planning to fire host Jim Lehrer and the iconic Big Bird).

Also throwing everything including the kitchen sink, trying to bury Obama in a series of contradictions and lure him into a "did so, did not" waste of time.

Instead, Obama stayed on message and apparently got his view for the country through the 3 ring circus to his right. My biggest concern was that the President seem very, very tired. Hopefully got some good rest after....

Well, Romney's tiny bump in the polls will cost him severely over the long haul, while simultaneously will lure the big bucks back his way, where they will be wasted instead of them flowing down-ticket.

And other than his plan to kill Big Bird, all eyes have already turned to the jobs report, and the GOP is freaking out over that one.

Bottom line is it will prove a win for Obama.
