In reply to the discussion: Hi guys..I'm new here and I'm cross-posting a thread I posted in AWPS at the suggestion of Kentauros [View all]Mnemosyne
(21,363 posts)He brought big shooters to town like Minnesota Fats and others, iirc, and could shoot with the best of them, even with one arm. I saw him leaning against the front of the pool hall as I drove by it. He looked me right in the eyes and nodded. He had been gone for maybe 4 or 5 years by then. If it hadn't been for the missing arm, would have just figured it was somebody that looked like him. Creeped me out.
I also saw the wife of an ex. She had committed suicide after they separated, before him and I were together. Again was driving, by the movie theater this time, and saw her outside. She looked right at me and lifted her hand in a slight wave. I am still not sure it was her for certain, but her hair was down to her butt and the same color. I didn't see her when I looked back.
I saw a neighbor's mother outside a grocery store, about 4 or 5 years after she had died of breast cancer. She was a very distinctive looking woman. She was an older school teacher when she married, and a die-hard fundamentalist. Destroyed a Simon and Garfunkle album over the song, Cecilia. She was tall and had short frizzy permed hair and thick glasses. She looked right at me, no nod or wave.
These may have been just people that looked like them, i have no way to prove anything, but when you recognize someone, you just do. I thought after each time that I should have turned right around and gone back, but was seriously too chicken.
Freaked me out for awhile, wondering if some of the people I saw everywhere were from another dimension, which I believe death may be.
These incidents, and other strange happenings throughout my life, helped lead me to the quantum world, looking for answers.
As far as Quantum Physics goes, my brain hurts after reading much of it, but the ideas and theories are so fascinating I just keep trying to learn more. I'm a total amateur in it.
