There is a part of me that thinks it would be best if social security were privatized,medicare turned into a voucher system etc.I would not want that to be permanent though. If it could only be limited too just republican voters,but it can't. Maybe that's what it is going to take for these people to finally learn. Seems a common theme with Trump and republican voters in general when asked about the destruction of safety nets etc. is to say they wont really do that. Seriously how long have republicans been threatening social security. Even tried to privatize social security the last time a republican was in the white house and still senior citizens continue to vote overwhelming republican as long I can remember. I know there are many senior citizens who don't vote republican who get offended when this demographic fact is pointed out. I'm not talking about them,but the majority of seniors that cast their votes for republicans.

Maybe they finally need to lose something to learn something,but then again maybe not. Maybe the republican lie machine can convince them that Democrats control the congress and senate and blame us when republicans destroy their safety net.
