Most of us are disappointed with Schumer's anemic performance against the administration and their actions and many are calling for his replacement. So, which senator could take over from the current crop?
Warren? Sanders? It's a given we want someone with some fire in the belly yet be a great leader and have the know how when it comes to senate procedures to be a valid foil for the Republicans.
Who would be a great replacement?
Thank you, President Biden and Vice President Harris
As we're going through these trying moments knowing what is to come starting tomorrow, let's give our thanks to President Biden and Vice President Harris for the great work they've done these past four years.
Sure they weren't perfect but they accomplished so much, more than most 8 year administrations. They got us out of the pandemic, they salvaged our economy, paved the way for improved infrastructure and addressing environmental issues. Yes, it could have been better but there were other parties to blame like faux dems, corporate media and clueless idiots who were susceptible to right wing media.
But Biden and Harris need to be thanked for what they have done for all of us. I am proud to have voted for them and grateful that for a few years things were getting better.
Godspeed Mr. President and Madam Vice President!
Do debates matter anymore?
Seriously, TFG refused to do any debates during the nomination process and won, Harris wiped the floor with him during their only debate and he still won, same with Clinton.
A poor debate by Biden had him hounded out of the race, but if he never had a debate would he have dropped out? Keep in mind Biden didn't do well in the debates for the nomination in 2020 and he still wound up with the nomination.
Nixon never debated his opponents, neither did Johnson. So what is the point of having them anymore?
Have to admit it, but I feel calm
To me feeling this calm on Election Day is strange to me. Usually I am on pins and needles, have trouble sleeping and anxious. I still have bad memories of 2016 and was so agitated on 2020 that I couldn't even watch the news that night. I only fell asleep in the early morning after finding out that Biden gained a tiny lead in MI and WI.
But today? None of that is going on (so far) with me. I slept like a baby after watching the last Harris rally on TV. And I can't help feeling like we got this. I also helped calm down a few people I know when they were panicking over what's his face.
Not to jinx things but I really hope my sense of peace and confidence bears fruit tonight, tomorrow, soon.

Eleven Days
I can't stop thinking that back in 2016 with just 11 days to go before the election that damn Comey letter happened which stopped Hillary's momentum and we know how things ended up.
Right now it's eleven days before the election and so far nothing substantial has emerged to damage Harris right before the election except for Israel attacking Iran, but like most things these days the event seems to be part of the background noise in the media.
I don't know why but despite the panic among fellow Dems I feel quietly confident that we got this. Tuning out election related news and polls helps a lot. No it should not be close but maybe it won't be, but I think we'll be OK.
If any party instigated a coup against its nominee it should've been the RNC
For all the rants by the GOP about how the Dems instigated a coup and forced Biden to step down, it is they who should've done this with Trump.
If they had done this back in 2016 even before the Access Hollywood tapes, they might have spared us the nightmare presidency, the prevalence of hatred in our nation and the threat to democracy.
Sure, they probably would have lost in 2016, but this would've given them the opportunity to purge the MAGAts and other fringe RW nutjobs as they supposedly tried to do after the 2012 election.
So thanks for nothing GOP, in your craven quest for power you all brought massive damage to our country. In other words, sit down and shut up!
Expanded electoral map?
With the Harris campaign is it possible to expand the electoral map and win states that were not won in 2020?
I noticed Harris was in TX and IN recently. I know it's too early to speculate but can she win any other states like NC?
